General Appointments

Where will my appointment take place?

At this time, Tahlia is a mobile makeup artist. This means that she will come to you. Travel ​fees are not included in the service price and will be an additional charge. Tahlia travels ​anywhere throughout Victoria, Australia. She is located in the north east suburbs of ​Melbourne, so please be aware that travelling to locations further away from hers will incur a ​larger travel fee.


Do you cater for allergies/sensitive skin?

Of course! Tahlia has products that suit most skin types and sensitivities. As part of your ​confirmation text, you will be sent the link to an allergy and skin form to fill out. Please have ​this done when you make your booking so Tahlia knows what to expect and can prepare ​accordingly.


How do I prepare for my appointment?

Tahlia will send you a text message with all of the necessary information once your booking is ​confirmed by Tahlia herself. This will include, but is not limited to instructions on skin prep, ​what to bring and what to wear. Please make sure you follow these instructions where ​possible to get the best out of your appointment with Tahlia.


How do I secure a booking?

Once Tahlia has sent you a confirmation text message about your appointment, you will be ​prompted to pay a 50% deposit as soon as possible before your appointment. Once this is ​received, your booking is secure and will go ahead.


Please Note that this deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances


How much will my appointment cost?

All my prices are listed on the services page on my website. Please take a look there to see ​those and any other fees that may apply to your appointment. A subtotal will be sent to you in ​your confirmation text message, and any amendments you will be notified of in the invoice ​you receive via text at the end of your appointment.


How do I pay for my appointment?

You will be given details for a bank transfer in your confirmation text so the deposit can be ​paid. You can either pay the final total to the same account or pay in cash.


Please note Afterpay, Paypal or checks are not accepted at this time. Thank you for ​understanding.


What if I need to reschedule or cancel my appointment?

Tahlia understands that things can happen without warning. But she is an artist who comes to ​you, so please let her know as early as possible if there are any issues with your ​appointment. Reschedules can be made pending the artist's availability on the day you wish to ​reschedule for. If the artist is available, your deposit will be transferred to your new date. If ​rescheduled again, your deposit will be lost and you will be required to pay your 50% deposit ​a second time.


Cancellations can be made up to 48hrs prior to your appointment. Your deposit will be ​forfeited to cover the artist of the work lost due to holding your appointment spot.


Due to this being a service based business, we DO NOT offer refunds for any reason at this ​time.


Bridal Appointments

Do I need to have a bridal trial?

All brides-to-be MUST have a trial with Tahlia prior to booking her as your wedding makeup ​artist. These appointments are fantastic for both Tahlia and all brides to meet and get a ​better understanding of each other. The artist gets to learn how your big day is going to ​work, your themes, your colour schemes and your style and turn that into a beautiful makeup ​look that works for you and your big picture. It also allows the bride to see the artist's craft ​in person and decide if their style of artistry is for them.


No bridal bookings will go ahead with Tahlia without a trial being done first.


Do bridesmaids need makeup trials?

It’s not a necessity, however if your bridesmaids have skin conditions or allergies and are ​worried about the products working with their skin, Tahlia encourages them to get in contact ​and book a trial to alleviate any stresses the bridesmaid(s) may have.


How do I secure a wedding booking?

Once you have had your trial with Tahlia, your terms of service contract will be sent to you to ​sign. Once signed, a booking fee of $150 will be due to secure your date. 50% of your ​remaining total will be due at the latest 6 weeks out from your wedding day. The final ​payment due 2 weeks prior.

Do you provide touch up services?

Yes! Tahlia can be hired for touch ups on your big day at an extra cost. You can also ​purchase a touch up kit along with your booking to do touch ups yourself on the day. The ​price for touch up kits is listed on the services page.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the terms and conditions set by Tahlia Ramsay under the ABN 96958693992. By ​booking the mobile makeup artist services listed in this website, you agree to these Terms and ​Conditions. Please read them carefully.


2. SERVICES PROVIDED

Tahlia Ramsay offers mobile makeup services across Melbourne, Victoria and into the rural ​parts of the state. Services available include makeup applications for various events such as ​weddings, photoshoots, parties and more. Specific details will be provided in your reservation ​text message.


The duration of the services booked will be estimated when quoted for the booking. Tahlia will ​do her best to complete the service within the estimated timeframe quoted, but this may vary ​based on the clients requirements.


3. BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS

Bookings - To book the services provided, please contact us via phone, email or facebook. A ​minimum notice period of 14 days is required for all bookings.


Deposit - A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total service price is required at the time of ​booking to secure your appointment.


Payment - The remaining balance is due the day of your service. We accept payments via PayID, ​bank transfer and cash.

4. CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING

Changes to Services - If Tahlia is notified of any reductions to a wedding booking less than a ​month before the wedding date, the full total will still need to be paid in full. For events, less ​than one week before, full payment will be required.


Changes to Location - Tahlia must be notified of location changes as soon as possible. If not ​done, this will result in a quote revision in regards to travel fees. These revised fees are the ​responsibility of the client who made the booking.


Bridal Trials - After you’ve had your bridal trial with Tahlia, your wedding booking is not ​secured until the deposit has been received. Tahlia is not obligated to notify you if she no ​longer has availability for your day.


Cancellation by Client - If you wish to cancel your wedding booking with Tahlia, you must ​notify her at least 6 weeks prior to your wedding date. The deposit is non-refundable ​regardless, however any further payments made will be refunded. If cancellation happens within ​the 6 weeks prior to your wedding, your deposit and further payments will not be refunded.


If you wish to cancel your general booking with Tahlia, you must notify her at least 24 hours ​before your appointment. If cancellation occurs within 24 hours, the full service fee will be ​charged.


Rescheduling - Requests to reschedule wedding bookings must be made at least 2 months prior ​to your wedding day. These requests are subject to availability and your current deposit will be ​transferred to your new date. This can happen once for every client. If you wish to reschedule ​again, your original deposit will be forfeited and you will be charged a new deposit.


For general appointments, reschedule requests must be made 48hrs in advance, Rescheduling is ​subject to availability. Booking Termination - Tahlia reserves the right to terminate bookings at any time for any ​reason, including on the day of the wedding/event if it is due to the client/client’s ​representatives behaviour, actions or inactions that cause her distress. Rude, aggressive and ​obnoxious behaviour will not be tolerated by the artist or sub contractors working with the ​artist.


5. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparation - Every client who secures a booking with Tahlia Ramsay must ensure their skin is ​clean and free of any makeup before their appointment. If the client has any specific skin ​conditions or allergies, they must inform the artist in advance.


Upon booking, all clients will receive a text message that includes tips for pre-appointment ​skin prep and also a questionnaire which must be completed before your booking is secured. ​This will ask all clients about their skin conditions and allergies prior to your appointment so ​the artist knows what to expect.


Location - All clients must be able to provide a suitable and well-lit, natural lit space for the ​makeup application.If there are any additional travel/setup requirements, extra charges may ​apply.


6. LIABILITY

Personal Safety - Tahlia uses high-quality products and follows all hygiene standards to ​ensure the safety of her clients. She is not liable for any reactions/allergies resulting from the ​use of her products. Please fill out the skin/allergy form prior to your booking to avoid these ​situations.


Property Damage - Tahlia is not responsible for any damage to property or personal items that ​occur during the provision of our services.


7. PHOTOGRAPHY AND SOCIAL MEDIA

Permissions - Tahlia may take photos before and after of your makeup application for her ​social media and/or her website. As part of the consultation, all clients will have the ​opportunity to opt out of this if they would prefer not to have images taken or posted online. ​Otherwise, please let Tahlia know in advance.


8. COMPLAINTS AND DISPUTES

If you have any concerns or complaints about the services provided, please get in contact with ​Tahlia within 7 days of your service. The sooner, the better. She will address your concerns ​promptly and seek to resolve any issues you may have.


9. CHANGES TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Tahlia reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be ​effective immediately upon posting on our website or notifying you directly.
